Manchester is set to welcome a new upscale hotel, as The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel announces plans to open in 2023. Named for its location – at the meeting point of the Rochdale and Ashton Canals – The Reach at Piccadilly forms part of Tribute Portfolio.

The 215-room property has been inspired by the heritage of its location, with figures such as the Duke of Bridgewater, James Brindley, James Rennie and William Jessop all highlighted within the design. Travellers will be able to enjoy the chic interiors and fully equipped fitness centre, whilst visitors and locals alike will be welcomed to The Reach at Piccadilly's restaurant, where locally sourced, seasonal produce will be served with the backdrop of stretching canal views.

Sandra Schulze-Potgieter, Vice President, Premium & Select Brands, EMEA, Marriott International commented "The Reach at Piccadilly combines local knowledge with striking design, a perfect fit for the Tribute Portfolio in the UK for 2023. This will be the third Tribute Portfolio hotel to open in the UK with a total of 20 hotels across Europe. All the hotels share a passion for captivating design, a vibrant social scene and thoughtful service; we look forward to this exciting new opening early next year"

Speaking of the opening, General Manager, Peter Nye has said: 'I am absolutely thrilled to announce the opening of The Reach at Piccadilly, Manchester, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel for 2023. We have set out to celebrate the pioneering spirit of the past alongside the entrepreneurial spirit of Manchester today, and we cannot wait to welcome our first guests in Spring.

When creating the concept for the hotel, we have been conscious to create an authentic experience for travellers to enjoy. Our guests will be able to enjoy produce grown only a few miles away at the restaurant, drink a great cup of coffee which has been roasted around the corner, and we're even working with local brewers to create a beer uniquely our own.

The hotel will be owned by Molo Hotels and operated by Lighthouse Hotel Management, and it will be the company's fifth UK opening and will join Molo and Lighthouse's expanding portfolio which also includes hotels in Aruba and Rome'. Lighthouse Managing Director Stephen Bench has said: 'the opening of The Reach at Piccadilly is an incredibly exciting development for both companies.

In creating The Reach at Piccadilly, we have created a stunning, design-centred hotel that celebrates the City of Manchester, and has been tailored to the modern, curious traveller.'
